Brazil is a continent inside a country: Amazon rainforest, Iguaçu Falls, colonial towns, and thousands of miles of beaches. Start in Rio, where mountains, jungle, and city collide more dramatically than anywhere else on the planet.
🏛️ A Little History
A Portuguese colony that became an empire — Rio even served as seat of the Portuguese crown after the royal court fled Napoleon in 1808 — Brazil took its own path from its Spanish-speaking neighbors, with its own language, rhythm, and identity.
💡 Did You Know?
Brazil borders every South American country except Chile and Ecuador, and grows roughly a third of the world's coffee. The name comes from brazilwood — the red dye tree that drew the first European traders.
